The Synthesis of Titanium Alloys for Biomedical Applications
نویسندگان
چکیده
In a recent study, nanocrystalline Ti-based alloys were synthesized using mechanical alloying (MA) followed by annealing. The alloying elements Nb or Nb and Zr were added to titanium. The mechanical properties and the corrosion resistance of these materials were investigated and compared with microcrystalline Ti and the TiAl6V4 alloy. An enhancement of the properties due to nanoscale structures in consolidated materials was observed.
